Chamber to Host 3rd Annual Golf Tournament

The Burke County Chamber of Commerce will host its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 28th at the Waynesboro Country Club. The day will begin at 12noon with registration and a box lunch. The shotgun start will begin at 1pm, and the tournament will conclude with a Pig Pickin and prizes distributed to the winners, along with door prize giveaways to the lucky recipients. SPLOST Information Open House

The Burke County Chamber of Commerce will host a SPLOST Information Open House on Monday, October 25th from 5 - 7pm at Citizens Park Gym. The public is invited to drop by to learn more about the projects being proposed for SPLOST 3.


Leadership Burke 2010 Class Begins

The Burke County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Burke 2010 Class got off to a great start on Day One while attending the Ropes Course at Camp Gravatt in Aiken. The participants learned about overcoming fears and challenges, team building and problem solving. The remainder of the course will focus on a variety of topics including healthcare, education, governmental relations and economic development. This years classe members are: Lisa Smith, Leah Lewis, Stacey Rucker, Lindsai Gentry, Crystal Eubanks, Val Prescott, Allen Kicklighter, Alphonzo Williams and Lance Poindexter.

The Burke County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the community video they have been working on is now complete. You may view the video from our website link, as well as find it on many facebook pages. The purpose of the video is to use as a part of a marketing package to recruit newcomers to our community. The video was designed and produced by Green Peas Production in Waynesboro, Georgia.


Chamber Banquet Features Georgia Power President as Keynote Speaker

The Burke County Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 28 at the campus of Augusta Technical College. The keynote speaker was Mike Garrett, President of Georgia Power Company. He spoke on the upcoming expansion at Plant Vogtle and the positive impacts it would have on the community, as well as thanking the community for their support.
