    Please be advised ALL court proceedings scheduled for Monday, September 11 and Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in Burke County Courthouse, Columbia County Justice Center, and Augusta-Richmond County Judicial Center have been cancelled. Personnel shall follow the directives of their respective employers. Regular court sessions will resume Wednesday, September 13, 2017, unless otherwise notified.

  • Budget Hearing September 20th

    The Burke County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on the Proposed FY 2018 Budget at 6:00 PM on Wednesday September 20th at the Burke County Courthouse at 602 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA. The public is invited to come and voice their opinions or concerns on the budget for the coming year. The County's fiscal year begins on October 1st. A detailed copy of the budget can be downloaded from the Administration page on the County website. Also below is a summary of the budget by department.
