The meeting will be held on April 12th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in Sardis at the City Annex Building located at 1209 Ellison Bridge Road. At this time, the proposed project will rebuild these bridges north of Sardis, which requires an off-site detour during construction. The length of the work and associated roadway improvements is 1,400 feet. Construction cost for both bridges is currently estimated at $4.2 million with contract letting programmed for June 2020. Both bridges have low sufficiency ratings and were built in 1962. The two structures are currently posted for weight restrictions.
