The Downtown Development Authority works toward revitalization of downtown Waynesboro through its state and nationally designated Main Street program utilizing historic preservation and the National Main Street Four-Point Approach of Organization, Design, Promotion and Economic Restructuring.
The mission of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and its Main Street program is to promote, to maintain, and to enhance a safe and economically viable central business district by focusing on both public and private resources on the fulfillment of downtown's potential to benefit the entire community. The Mayor and City Council appoint a Board of Directors for the Downtown Development Authority. Each Board Member serves a 4 year term.
The Inside Out Grant Application is offered by the Waynesboro Downtown Development Authority. The intent for the Inside-Out Grant Program is to encourage private investment in appropriate improvements in downtown commercial structures.
